And so it begins

A journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step

I am finally doing it. I have been thinking and talking about this for so long: to create my own business based on a framework of thought I have been developing years. Of course I am afraid. Doubts abound. Who am I to offer this service and share these ideas? What if I am wrong, or don't live up to my own ideals? Am I aligned enough to pretend to help others in their alignment journey?

But as I myself become more aligned, I feel an irresistible pull towards creating this business. This is my life's work, the beginning of a journey that will span the rest of my life. My only work is to walk this path step by step, and follow my core authentic guidance with every word, every action, and every interaction. The path of alignment dictates that success will come to me if I listen to myself and take inspired action. Success isn't the goal, the process is.

If you build it, they will come

This isn't so much a business as a life mission. Of course I will ultimately hope to make a living of it, but the core mission is to serve anyone who feels the call and deeply resonates with my teachings. I expect clumsiness at the beginning as I find my feet, rewire my many limiting beliefs, and learn as I teach/coach. I can no longer grow on my own; my learning path is now in teaching and supporting others. By definition this implies imperfection practicing alignment, and this in itself is a core learning for me. I don't need to be perfect at something to act on it.

The biggest trap I foresee is using my sessions as a way to justify my existence through my future clients. The goal is not to teach them things, but to facilitate their journey towards listening and trusting themselves, of uncovering the authentic Self within them which is the source of all guidance and deep existential joy. My role is to unlock my clients through questions, reflections from my own experience, not advice. My clients have to uncover the Gold themselves. I am here to help, not do it for them.

My immediate challenge is simple: fill the blank pages of a nascent business with imperfect content and offerings. I need to ride the waves of iterations and trust the process. And play with it. None of this is serious. A key marker of alignment and detachment is joyful playfulness for its own sake. My wish for myself is to avoid forcing myself to work on this business, exert discipline to execute on what I want to do naturally. If this business is meant to happen, if I genuinely want it, I will naturally want to work on this on my own.

May this business be the fruit of an authentic, effortless process.
